Spring is the perfect time to get creative with flowers, and what better way to celebrate the season than by making a beautiful flower crown? Whether you're planning a spring festival or just want to wear something fun, this easy DIY flower crown is sure to brighten your day. Here’s how to make one in just a few simple steps.

What You’ll Need:

Craft supplies for making a paper flower crown, including colorful strips of paper (green, teal, blue, purple, red, yellow, and orange), yellow scissors, a glue stick, clear tape, and various paper flower cutouts in pink, blue, yellow, and red.

How to Make Your Own Flower Crown

A pair of hands attaching two colorful cardstock strips together, one teal and one green, to form the base of a paper flower crown. The strips are placed on a blue and white checkered tablecloth.

Step 1: Make the Crown’s Base

  • First, grab your 2-inch cardstock strips. You’ll need two strips for each crown you plan to make.

  • Take the short edge of two cardstock strips and tape them together so that one edge overlaps the other slightly. This creates a long strip that you can now wrap around the wearer’s head to measure the correct size.

Step 2: Size the Crown

  • Next, wrap the strip of cardstock around the head to ensure it fits. Once you have the right size, overlap the ends of the strip and tape them together to create the correct size crown. Trim off excess paper if needed with your scissors.

Step 3: Decorate the Crown

  • Then, use a glue stick to attach colorful paper flowers or shapes to the crown. You can get creative with the design—add as many flowers, shapes, and decorations as you like to make the crown unique to you. Feel free to embellish with glitter, beads, or even stickers for a fun, extra touch.
